App installation

The Syncplicity for iPad app is free and available from the Apple App Store. Check here for the supported iOS versions.

IMPORTANT: If you have an AirWatch managed device, you must install the Syncplicity app from your AirWatch catalog instead of the Apple App Store. If you have an existing Syncplicity app from the App Store, you must delete that app first; otherwise, you may no longer be able to connect to your Syncplicity account and access the files or may be unable to access certain capabilities in the app.

NOTE: If you have a MobileIron managed device, you can install the Syncplicity app from the Apple App Store. Make sure that the version is 3.4.10 or later.

To download the app:

  1. Open the App Store on your iPad.
  2. Search for Syncplicity.
  3. Download the Syncplicity app.

Once installed, tap on the Syncplicity app to start it. You are prompted to log in to your Syncplicity account. Click here for more detail on the first time user experience.

Upgrading

If you wish to upgrade the Syncplicity app, go to the Apple App Store and download the app. If you are logged into the app, the upgraded app works seamlessly as before. If not logged in, start the app and log in.

If you are using the free account and wish to have more space, you can easily upgrade to a paid Syncplicity Personal Edition account by going to Settings and selecting Upgrade. See App settings if you need assistance opening the Settings screen.

If you are using an AirWatch managed device and you installed the Syncplicity app from your AirWatch catalog, you need to upgrade by downloading the app from your AirWatch catalog anytime a new version is pushed to the catalog.
