With any Syncplicity edition, you can deliver Microsoft PowerPoint presentations with transitions and animations directly from your mobile device. You can also edit, create and annotate Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel files directly in the Syncplicity app, and sync them to all your devices. There is no need to create or edit content in a third-party app. When you open Microsoft Office documents, there is no loss of formatting.
Creating a Microsoft Office Document
To create a new Office document, tap Add Content from the main screen or Add from the context menu of a folder. Tap Create and you are shown the menu options to create a Word, PowerPoint or Excel file.
Once you have created a Microsoft Office file, you can edit and save the file. For example, once you tap Document, you create a Word document as shown below.
To save it, tap the menu icon () and tap Save. After saving, tap the Back button to go to an upload screen where you can upload to a Syncplicity folder.
Similarly, you can create a PowerPoint presentation or an Excel spreadsheet. Once you have finished your work, you can save the file and upload it.
Optionally, you can save Documents and PowerPoint presentations as PDF files by tapping Save As PDF. This takes you to an upload screen where you can select the destination folder for the PDF file.
For detailed information about the upload screen, see Uploading files.
Editing a Microsoft Office Document
To open an existing Microsoft Office document, navigate to that file and tap it. When you save an existing Office file, you directly save it into the folder where the file belongs.
In folders where you have read-only permissions, you can only open an Office file in View mode.
All editing in Microsoft Office works is available only in portrait mode. However, PowerPoint slide transition is available in landscape mode.
Refer to the Supported Microsoft Office features article to review the advanced features available for all Office files.
