Folder sharing

Users can now share folders within the Android app

  • Users can add participants during folder sharing
  • Users can assign reader or editor permissions to participants during folder sharing
  • Users can add or remove participants from existing shared folders
  • Users can change permissions for existing shared folders
  • Admin policies for folder sharing are respected

Users can share both top-level folders and subfolders. See this documentation article for details on sharing a subfolder

German localization of Windows desktop client

The Windows desktop client is now localized in German

  • To display German, use the operating system display language
  • English is the default for all other unsupported languages
  • The installation wizard is not localized in German and is displayed in English

German localization of end-user web interface

  • My Syncplicity web pages displayed to end-users are now localized in German
  • To display German, use the browser’s language settings. German localization is applicable to all supported browsers
  • The following pages are not localized in German:
    • Administrator console pages
    • Reseller console pages
    • Personal Edition and Business Edition billing pages
  • Date and time formats are not yet locale-based

Bug Fixes

Shared link download page

Leading and trailing spaces are now trimmed from text pasted into the password field

Admin console

During the user creation process, IT administrators can now copy the email addresses of users that could not be created (as they already exist in the system), and then proceed with creating the remaining users

Billing

Personal Edition and Business Edition users from certain countries were previously not able to view their invoices
